Real-time face recognition desktop application with an optimized photobooth mode for public installations
What I Built
- Developed a PyQt6 desktop app with real-time camera feed, face recognition, and voice greetings
- Implemented a memory-efficient photobooth mode with static PNG frame overlays and zero face-recognition overhead
- Designed mode-switching architecture to fully disable recognition pipelines when entering photobooth mode
